Laura joined the staff in the Office of the Provost in March, 2011, reporting to Vice Provost Mary Lee Hummert. As Coordinator for Faculty Development she coordinates faculty programs such as promotion and tenure, sabbatical, phased retirement, faculty leaves, and awards. Laura began her career at KU in 1992, where she served as an Academic User Services documentation and training specialist at the computer center. She also served as a Program Manager at the Natural History Museum. From 2000-2006 she was employed as a Program Manager at Sprint in Overland Park. Most recently she served as a Program Assistant at the Information and Telecommunication Technology Center in the Office of Technology Commercialization. Laura has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies from the University of Kansas and a Master’s Certificate from the George Washington University Project Management Institute.
