Kij Johnson received her Master of Fine Arts degree from North Carolina State University in 2012. Research interests related to her current writing projects include science writing before 1800, the fiction of Margaret Cavendish, and the diaries of Fanny Burney. General research interests include animal narratives and foundational fantasy and science fiction.
